The Mental Health World Cup
BREAKING NEW
We may not have brought home the trophy, but we are so proud of our team’s performance in The Mental Health World Cup yesterday!
Under the unrivalled leadership of Rob ‘Jurgen’ O’Neill, our ‘Team Mauritius’ won three matches and drew one in the group stage. Despite having some more ‘experienced’ players on the team, it was the younger members of the team who really shone, showing incredible skill and determination on the pitch – and an ability not to run out of breath!
Unfortunately, we were knocked out in a closely fought 1-0 defeat to Germany in the knockout phase. But we’re not too disappointed – we know we gave it our all and left everything on the field.
Most importantly, we raised awareness for mental health and showed that it’s okay to talk about our struggles.
The Mental Health World Cup is supporting the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in 2023 and any donations will be gratefully received – https://bit.ly/3I3Gu1j
