MIX DELIVERS FOR HEARST MAGAZINES
MiX Consultancy was appointed by Hearst Magazines – one of the world’s largest publishers of monthly magazines – to design and project manage the Audio Visual solution for their new London headquarters. With two leases coming to the end of their term in Broadwick Street, the publisher took the opportunity to consolidate offices and move into new headquarters located in Panton Street in Leicester Square. The fit out of 60,000 ft2 over five floors was completed at the end of May. The programme on the project was particularly fast track with the AV design completed within four weeks and the fit out starting on site just six weeks later. The project was delivered in phases with two of the floors completed for occupation in March 2018. The challenge was to ensure that the installation on not only those two floors were complete but that the central systems needed were also live so that Hearst could continue with business as usual.
The design included AV solutions in an expansive board room, several meeting rooms, a town hall/training area, wayfinding and digital signage, reception, portals/ideation areas and a room booking solution.
Andrew Emmett, MiX AV Designer and Project Manager said: ‘We were delighted to work on this project for Hearst Magazines. The fast track nature of the project meant that the whole team pulled together and worked collaboratively to get it over the line. It was a pleasure to work with Cushman & Wakefield, Gensler, BAP, TB+A and Overbury on the project.’
Dave Mitchell, IS Operations Manager, Hearst UK, said, “MiX provided excellent design and guidance throughout the project and greatly assisted us with our integrators.”
